So confession time.  I did not plan on Wu Shi becoming as developed as he did.  When I started I was anxious to get the Artwork going as fast as I could, so I embraced the ‘Marvel Method’.  Which was supposedly created but Stan Lee and Jack Kirby where the art was finished first allowing Kirby to fully establish his visual storytelling and Lee added dialogue later.  So I crafted the story structure and basic plot, then I drew it.  However writing dialogue after all of that was done, I started to find a real voice for the character.  Which became more and more tragic as I knew I was locked into what was going to happen to him.

When several people have noted serious concern for Wu Shi I started to feel like George RR Martin.  At a Game of Thrones panel he talked about hanging out with some of the Actors from the TV Show and realizing that he’d killed all of their characters and they would soon be unemployed,  I just hope he had the good manners to buy them their drinks.  =)

So while I can’t elaborate on whether this is the end or not for Wu Shi, let me say that I really grew to like this character… and the future is always in motion.  😉
