Happy 4th everyone.
So yes, it’s a traveling Chinese Circus. Except ‘Circus’ is a strictly Western term. Traveling performers were a staple in almost every Culture. It seems wherever, or whenever people lived, they often got bored. And there were always people who liked to get up and perform and thought… hey I could make a living at this. =) Somethings really are universal. In any case the Chinese equvilant of the Circus was the ‘Acrobatic Theater’. It was also called “The show of a hundred tricks”, Hence the title.
