And then we put all of the words on one page at the end… I hope this answers not only why this Captain of the Guard has been targeted, but also why there are different types of Jiangshi. Both the classic walking rotting zombie and the more loquacious scheming undead boss. One of the elements of this story I fell in love with early on was that the dead needed to be tied to the living, and more importantly, to their previous lives and what they did while they were still breathing.
Looks to me like it’s going to be a Na’Al type battle, where Wu Shi fights to keep his humanity while the Jiangshi curse boils his blood and drives him mad with the hunger…………………….
Will he surrender to the lust and feed?

See it’s weird for me because I already know the answer. 😉 I love this page because as I was drawing/writing it, all of this awesome backstory just started exploding out of it. It was just the right time to tell this particular back story. A lot of what I’m doing with the writing aspect is feeling where the story is going rather than engineering anything of my own. It’s been a very interesting creative experience. =)
