It’s not hardcore Kung-Fu I grant you, but the truth is my first real interest in Kung-Fu films came from Big Trouble in Little China. Which probably explains a lot of how and why I’ve made the choices I have. Enter the Dragon, The Deadly Venoms, 36th Chamber of Shaolin, all came after Kurt Russell spent almost all his John Wayne impersonation getting his butt kicked. It’s tied with The Thing as my favorite Carpenter Films.
